Do not fall for this scam people. You might have received an email from Amazon, well it’s not from Amazon, it’s actually from hackers trying to use all kind of tactics, including scare tactics to get your attention to get into your account. This latest scam hacking attempt is an email in a way that your email spam filter will not filter it out completely and might have got into your inbox.
The email is somewhat similar to below attached with a PDF file that have a link for you to click on and away you go into a fake amazon website. The fake amazon website look exactly like the real amazon website, but it’s fake, whatever you do on that fake amazon website will be sent to the hacker in real time and your account is now hacked if you type in your account credential login and password.
Rule of thumb – never click on any link on email txt sms messaging or website that ask you to click on. Check the link carefully by hover your mouse cursor over the link and make sure the spelling of the domain is correctly spelled. For example a fake amazon website domain would look something like this amazon.com.abc123ghjgB.com, did you notice the actual domain name? the actual domain is abc123ghjgB.com and it’s a fake amazon website making you think it’s real amazon.com website because the beginning said amazon.com but followed by actual ” abc123ghjgB.com ” so be careful folks.
