What Happened?
On September 26, 2019, DoorDash announced in a blog post that an unauthorized third-party accessed data for approximately 4.9 million DoorDash users, delivery drivers, and merchants. Only users that joined DoorDash before April 5, 2018 were impacted by the breach.
The data exposed for users may include:
Name
Email address
Delivery address
Phone number
Last four digits of the payment card
DoorDash order history
DoorDash password
The data exposed for delivery drivers may include:
Last four digits of their bank account number
Driver’s license number
What should I do?
If you are a DoorDash customer, make sure your Identity Guard profile is up to date. Complete your profile and ensure that your Watchlist includes your phone number, email address, and payment cards.
Even though DoorDash has stated that the stolen passwords were encrypted, we recommend changing your password as a precaution to safeguard your account. If you use the same password on other websites, be sure to change those passwords as well. The best practice is to use a unique password for every website.
Rest assured Identity Guard is continuously monitoring your identity for any signs of possible misuse. If you have any questions, please contact the Identity Guard customer care center.
Putting your security first,
