trade.io Names Joaquim Pedro Antunes CTO, replacing Marcin Zduniak
We are pleased to announce a new member of the trade.io team, Joaquim Pedro (“JP”) Antunes, who will assume CTO duties effective June 1st. JP will be replacing Marcin Zduniak, who after being employed with trade.io for close to a year, will be leaving the company to move on to other projects.
JP has over 20 years experience in IT, most recently being CTO of Stork & Crow BV in the Netherlands. At trade.io he will be tasked with continuing to improve upon the exchange, both in terms of trade execution and new product offerings. In order to prepare, JP has been with trade.io since mid-April working closely with Marcin and the rest of the development team. As a result, he is ready to assume the CTO position immediately upon officially embarking on his new role.

trade.io CEO, William Heyn had this to say about the change:
“I cannot say enough about the marvelous job that Marcin has done for trade.io. As we have publicly stated, when Marcin joined trade.io, the exchange was not operating at the standards we expect. Under Marcin’s guidance, we improved performance of the exchange, fixed countless bugs and implemented multiple blockchains and new features. Additionally, he helped establish standard workflow processes to make the IT department operate more efficiently and effectively which speeds deployments and minimizes down time. We are in a much better place today, and for that, we will always be grateful for Marcin’s time with us. We wish him nothing but the best in his future endeavours.”
Heyn continued:
“JP joined us several weeks ago in order to present a smooth transfer. I have been working closely with him and have been impressed with how quickly and seamlessly he has merged with our team. I am excited about the future implementation of new product offerings with JP leading the way.”
