DigitalOcean Kubernetes Is Now Generally Available — And Better Than Ever
We’re excited to announce that DigitalOcean Kubernetes is now production ready and Generally Available.
When we introduced DigitalOcean Kubernetes last year, we made it easy for you to spin up a cluster in minutes. With our simple and scalable service, all you need to do is define the size and location of your worker nodes while we provision, manage, and optimize the services needed to run your cluster.
Thousands are already running their apps using DigitalOcean Kubernetes. Here’s what one customer had to say:
“We adopted DigitalOcean’s Managed Kubernetes to deploy one of our Analytics systems. We chose DigitalOcean because of its developer-friendly dashboards, clear pricing schema, and excellent documentation. These things made it possible for Super Lucky to create a Kubernetes cluster, stateful deployments, load balancers and services in a matter of days instead of weeks.”

Monitor and manage your Kubernetes cluster, all in one place
DigitalOcean allows you to run your Kubernetes cluster on top of Standard, General Purpose, and CPU-Optimized Droplets, which offer numerous combinations of CPU, RAM, and SSD. In order to right-size your infrastructure for your applications and services, you need visibility into your cluster’s resource utilization.
DigitalOcean Kubernetes provides a free, integrated monitoring service with time series graphs and metrics, including CPU usage, load average, memory and disk usage, disk I/O, and bandwidth.
If you deploy the kube-state-metrics agent to your cluster, you’ll get visibility into Pod deployment status, DaemonSet deployment status, StatefulSet pod deployment status, and more.
We’ve got much more in store for DigitalOcean Kubernetes, including 1-Click Apps in our Marketplace, a Container Registry, and auto-scaling. Stay tuned, and in the meantime browse DigitalOcean Kubernetes resources here!

Happy Coding!
