Technology Credit Union TechCU just sent an email alert to all user that have TechCU account, if you received a text message such as below, it’s a scam fraud message to steal your account. Dear Member:
It has come to our attention that a fraudulent text message is being sent out to several credit union members.
The text asks you to call (669) 272-4314. When you call the number, a recorded message says, “Thank you for calling Technology Credit Union, for security reasons we need to verify your account. All direct deposits have been disabled until verification has been complete. Please enter your 16 digit card #.” This is a scam and should be deleted.
Please know that we did not send this text message to members and Tech CU was not compromised. We ask that you not respond or call the number. If you did provide your card information, please contact us immediately at (800) 553-0880 or visit one of our branch locations to block your card and request a new one.
